Aquarium & Rainforest Pyramid

Moisture Technology (M\TEC) was selected as the exterior building envelope consultant for the architectural team that designed the renovation of the popular Aquarium Pyramid and Rainforest Pyramid at Moody Gardens in Galveston, Texas. Our mission was to inspect the current state of the sloped glazing assemblies after many years of service and several hurricanes, then furnish recommendations for weatherproofing remediation.

Mayfair Condominium

M\TEC was selected as the exterior building envelope consultant for the developer of this twenty four story high-rise condominium project overlooking prestigious Turtle Creek in Dallas, Texas.  M\TEC was charged with the responsibility of assuring the integrity of the building exterior, which consisted of Exterior Insulation Finish Systems (EIFS) cladding as well as roofing and waterproofing systems, window installations, seals and sealants.

Medical Center - Harlingen, TX

M\TEC was selected as the window and mold expert by the attorneys representing the window and glazing subcontractor for this prestigious hospital facility in Harlingen, Texas.  M\TEC was charged with the responsibility of observing and commenting on the activities of two engineering firms and two mold experts working for the plaintiff, in addition to conducting our own forensic investigation.

Padre Island Resort Hotel

M\TEC was selected by the owner’s attorneys to conduct an assessment of Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) throughout this twelve story, elegant hi-rise ocean front resort hotel at South Padre Island, Texas.  The facility suffered severe water damage during Hurricane Ike in 2008 and was still dealing with the aftereffects, although extensive drying and remediation activities were implemented immediately following the storm.

Village Retirement Community

M\TEC was selected by the owner and their attorneys to conduct an assessment of IAQ throughout this three hundred unit residential retirement community, spreading over twenty eight acres of beautifully landscaped grounds in Spring, Texas.  M\TEC was charged with the responsibility of testing IAQ within each residential unit. The ultimate result of this project; every resident was provided with an environment free of microbial contamination, allergens and asthmatic triggers.
