Moisture Technology (M\TEC) was selected as the exterior building envelope consultant for the architectural team that designed the renovation of the popular Aquarium Pyramid and Rainforest Pyramid at Moody Gardens in Galveston, Texas. Our mission was to inspect the current state of the sloped glazing assemblies after many years of service and several hurricanes, then furnish recommendations for weatherproofing remediation.
Additionally, M\TEC was commissioned to develop project manuals for each facility. They contained the general conditions and technical specifications published in accordance with the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) format, as well as CAD drawings to be used as bidding documents.
M\TEC also became an integral part of the architectural design team during the conceptual development phase of a new sky-bridge between the Rainforest Pyramid and the Reception Center.
